MisoSoupDesign is Taipei based design Studio let by Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan. Their design incorporates new ideas with digital tectonics and sustainability technologies. They also apply the systematic way of thinking in design, and discover the surprising moment when form meets function. MisoSoupDesign produces diverse area of design for architecture, interior, furniture/product and corporate branding. MisoSoupDesign has won several international design competition and design awards, and published on books and magazine around the world.

Daisuke Nagatomo, LEED AP / Partner

Daisuke Nagatomo graduated from Meiji University in Tokyo, and decided to pursue his passion of architecture at Columbia University, where he received master degree in advanced architectural design. Nagatomo began his career in the metropolitan New York area with architecture firms, including TEN Arquitectos and Design Office for Research and Architecture. He was the invited researcher for FabLab House project at IaaC, Barcelona from 2009 to 2010 where he holds research diploma. Nagatomo is currently the adjunct faculty member of Chung Yuan Christian University and has taught several schools including Pratt Institute (New York), Tokyo University of Science, Keio University, Tokyo Denki University, and Taiwan National Chiao Tung University.

Minnie Jan, LEED AP / Partner

Minnie Jan received Bachelor of Architecture from University of Southern California, and she continued to pursue in the field of architecture at Columbia University, where she obtained master degree in 2004. Jan was a designer at FXFOWLE Architects in New York for 3 years, where she concentrated in sustainable building development, including projects in Dubai, India, and Saudi Arabia. Jan was also the invited researcher at IaaC, Barcelona from 2009 to 2010 where she was the team leader for FabLab House project at Solar Decathlon Europe 2010. She is also active member of CSID (Chinese Society of Interior Designers) and also PhD candidate of Chung Yuan Christian University.
